Free Scan Terms of Use
SiteScanReport LLC · Effective Date: September 1, 2026
These Free Scan Terms of Use ("Free Scan Terms") govern your use of the free website scan offered at sitescanreport.com (the "Free Scan"). The Free Scan is part of the Service described in our Terms of Service, and your use of it is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, our Disclaimers, and our Privacy Policy. Where those documents and these Free Scan Terms both apply, they are meant to be read together; these Free Scan Terms add to them and do not replace them. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
1. What the Free Scan is
The Free Scan is a limited, automated preview of a website's accessibility, privacy, and security signals. It runs the same categories of automated checks as our paid report but on a reduced scope, and it returns a summary rather than the full multi-page report a paying customer receives. It is provided free of charge, as a convenience and a preview of the paid Service.
2. Your authorization to request a scan
By submitting a website address for a Free Scan, you represent and warrant that you own that website, or that you are otherwise authorized to request an automated scan of it. You agree not to submit a website that you do not own or are not authorized to have scanned. You are responsible for your use of the Free Scan and for ensuring that requesting a scan of the submitted address does not violate any law or any agreement that applies to you or to that website.
We may decline, limit, or stop any scan at our discretion — including scans we determine may be unauthorized, abusive, unlawful, or directed at content or infrastructure we choose not to scan — and we may rate-limit or block requests to protect the Service and third parties.
3. What the Free Scan is not
The Free Scan is a scan, not an audit, certification, or legal opinion. It uses automated tooling that, by its nature, evaluates only a portion of applicable accessibility, privacy, and security criteria. A result that surfaces no issues does not mean a website is accessible, private, secure, or compliant with any law or standard, and the Free Scan does not certify or guarantee any such outcome. Our Disclaimers apply in full to the Free Scan.
4. No warranty
The Free Scan is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Free Scan will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that its results are complete or accurate. You use the Free Scan and rely on its results at your own risk.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SiteScanReport LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Free Scan. Because the Free Scan is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Free Scan will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Nothing in these Free Scan Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. The limitations and disclaimers in our Terms of Service also apply.
6. Information we handle
When you request a Free Scan, you provide the website address you ask us to scan and your confirmation that you are authorized to scan it. The Free Scan returns a summary of your results on-screen and does not require an email address or other contact information. We handle the information involved as described in our Privacy Policy, and we collect only what we need to run the scan, return your result on-screen, operate the Service, and prevent abuse.
7. Acceptable use
Your use of the Free Scan is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, including its prohibitions on using the Service to scan websites you are not authorized to scan, to test or attack infrastructure, or to interfere with the Service or others' use of it.
8. Changes
We may update these Free Scan Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Free Scan after we post changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These Free Scan Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, consistent with the governing-law and venue provisions of our Terms of Service.
